Anmore Dressage

Equestrian | Documentary Brand Film

The story behind
the performance.

A documentary-led brand film for Anmore Dressage, exploring the people, horses and philosophy behind a progressive equestrian centre built on care, knowledge and long-term development.

The Brief

A newly founded dressage centre needed to communicate the purpose, philosophy and values behind its work.

Anmore Dressage was established in 2023 with a singular vision: to create a legacy of exceptional dressage horses, bred and developed with meticulous attention to detail, from their earliest handling through to Grand Prix level competition. The philosophy behind it was rooted in patience, empathy and a deep understanding of the human and horse relationship.

The business needed a film that could communicate the depth of that philosophy to an audience that would understand and respond to it. The people behind Anmore, their values, their journey and their vision for the future all needed to be felt, not simply described.

The initial commission was a brand documentary telling the founding story, alongside a 15-second homepage banner film capturing the spirit of the business in a single visual statement.

In a crowded luxury market, a new brand has to arrive with the confidence and polish of an established name.

The Creative Approach

A documentary approach rooted in observation, patience and sensitivity to the subject.

The film required a different kind of direction from commercial campaign work. Rather than constructing a visual world around a product or brand identity, the task was to find and illuminate one that already existed.

The story of Anmore was already present in the daily rhythms of the yard, in the relationship between the people and the horses, and in the quieter moments that precede any moment of performance.

We approached the project with the observational sensitivity that documentary requires: listening before directing, finding the moments that revealed character rather than constructing them, and allowing the philosophy of the business to emerge through the people who lived it rather than through narrated explanation.

The result was an 11-minute documentary that traced the origins of Anmore Dressage from first principles, explored the values that shaped its founding and captured the human and horse connection at the heart of the business. The tone was warm, unhurried and deeply attentive to detail, a deliberate contrast to the more formal, competition-facing imagery often associated with the sport.

The Outcome

A film the client loved. A second commission that followed on the strength of it.

Anmore commissioned JCA to create the brand documentary and homepage banner film. The response to both was deeply positive. On the strength of that work, they returned with a further commission: a portrait film of Anmore's farrier, examining the craft and care that runs through every aspect of the yard.

All three films were warmly received. JCA and Anmore Dressage continue as an ongoing creative partnership, with further projects anticipated as the business grows towards its ambition of national and European recognition in competitive dressage.
